what is The Venture Bros.?
The Venture Bros. is an animated action-adventure-comedy series that airs as part of Cartoon Network's late night programming block Adult Swim.
The show follows the adventures of the Venture family, including the twin boys Hank and Dean. Once the royal family of Superscience, due to the amazing work of Jonas Venture Sr., the family must deal with continued threats from the past and the failures of current patriarch, Dr. Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture.
Overwhelmed by having to raise accident prone children in a world full of danger, Rusty coopted the work of his father to create a batch of clone backups for his boys. Even still, it was up to special OSI agent, Brock Samson to keep them all safe from the likes of vengeful archvillain The Monarch and other assorted dangers presented by the Guild of Calamitous Intent.
Yet all is turned on its head when the clones are all destroyed and Brock quits, the family finds itself in a brave new world. A reformed villain takes on the job of protecting the clan and The Venture Bros must now cope with growing up and potentially choosing their new path in this mixed-up world.
and a Wiki is?
A wiki is a website that can be edited by anyone who visits the site. The group of users we're aiming for here is you, the current or potential Venture Bros fan. Despite the statistics, we think Venture Bros. fans actually know things. Maybe they don't know about the Spanish-American war or which pair of underwear is clean, but they know about late night cartoon shows.
The Venture Bros Wiki requires no registration before you edit, so you can just give it a go and contribute your invaluable Venture Bros. knowledge to this resource. Of course we'd prefer you sign up for added privileges to the wiki. Registering also gives you access to our forums. This website is meant to be a companion to the show, so it's content is sprinkled with humor. We're not uptight and reliable like other wikis, we want to have some fun too. Why take a reference on a comedy cartoon too seriously, right? Be accurate? Sure. Be funny? Definitely. Keep in mind that we do want The Venture Bros Wiki to be useful and readable, so balance your silliness accordingly.
What the Venture Bros Wiki is not
This isn't trying to be like Wikipedia. This isn't some hardcore encyclopedic resource on some important issue. This is information on a cartoon show written by people who love it. So you don't have to worry about being biased or writing something silly. There's no elitist editors trying to tell you whatever you added doesn't meet some arbitrary standard of excellence. You can add your own silly theories or speculations, just be sure to label them as such.
Go, edit, have a good time. If you don't like what's there, change it or make a suggestion on what you'd like to see. Do as much or as little as you want. Doesn't matter, just get involved!
